How was everyone’s fourth?! The fourth of July is one of my absolute favorite holidays! Although, ever since having Porter I feel like every holiday is a big deal to me! I think it’s that maternal urge to make your own family traditions, something that you can look back on, and say, ahhh those were special times!

I have been a little MIA lately, honestly just trying to soak in family time, working around the house, reading, and enjoying the sun! Our next project is to landscape the backyard, I can’t wait!! We drove to Bend last week to visit family, the drive was beautiful, and I really got to appreciate how nice of a town Bend is. The last time I was there it was for my bachlorette party and I don’t really remember too much! Haha.

This is my first one shoulder top purchase ever! I’ve never liked the one shoulder trend because it reminds me of a toga, (Toga! Toga! Toga!) So I never even tried it. When I saw this white eyelet one I didn’t even hesitate! It’s so simple and comfortable and I’m a sucker for anything eyelet! Also, these jeans are the best and have been completely restocked!

THE SWEETEST STITCH EMBROIDERED WHITE TOP

This embroidered white top from the Sweetest Stitch is such a springtime staple! I’m always looking for a amped up white tee that’s easy and cute, but not too casual, and this one is everything! Embroidery is such a hot trend this year but I know it can be a little intimidating. Trying pieces with thick colorful stitch work is hit or miss, so a top that’s neutral like this one is great. I just saw this embroidered dress on their site… So cute!! Perfect for summer!

I haven’t even posted since we got back from California! We had such a great time! I’m missing my family so much already! Porter played so hard with all his cousins. One night we were there he fell asleep at 5:30 and slept till 7:00 the next day!!! I was so nervous he would wake up at midnight, ready to party, but thank God he slept through the night! My hometown is known for it’s rodeo and he was so excited to go, but he only lasted about 2o minutes, lol. Thankfully we had a plan for my parents to pick him up in case that happened.

I just started reading The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton. I’m not very far but it’s so good already! I can already tell it’s gonna be a forever favorite!

March 25th I celebrated my two year blogiversary! Sometimes I feel like I just started yesterday and sometimes I feel like I’ve been blogging for forever! When the anniversary of my blog hits I always reflect on how much I’ve accomplished and my goals for the future. I started Looks Like Rein for inspiration, at a time when I felt alone, I wanted to meet life long blogging friends that were supportive and passionate about life, fashion, and style. I have definitely accomplished that and more. I cherish the wonderful people that blogging has brought to my life and I’m so blessed to be a part of this community! Thank you to all who read, and relate to what I have to say. I hope my words have brought some kind of inspiration to your life!

You know I love blush tones. On my blogiversary I wanted to keep this theme of wearing neutral/blush tones. See last years post here. Comfy, flowy tops are my favorite and the bell sleeves make it girly and fun! I am obsessed with my new lace-up wedges! The best part, they are only $50! Besides this stone color they come in black and blush as well. I’m kinda drooling over the blush pair!

Thank you again to anyone that reads, comments, or “likes” my page. The love and motivation keeps me going!

I always love my dresses from Bailey Blue Clothing, butttt I think this may be my favorite yet! The flowy skirt is so pretty and girly and the fit is so good! I generally love anything with bell sleeves. I pretty much fell in love with it before I knew how great the fit would be. The most beautiful detail is the print! I’ve been loving floral’s for every season. Pairing this dress with OTK boots is a great way to wear a dress in cooler weather. In spring I can switch it up and wear it with heels or wedges.

My friend Brandy from Basically Brandy Photography took these photos with my camera, she’s an amazing photographer! These pictures do not do her work justice since I edited them and they were taken with my camera. She specializes in wedding photography, but she’s good at everything! Definitely check her out!

I’m going to the coast this weekend with friends! I’m so excited because my best friend and I rarely get to do anything outside of work and to spend the night away from kids is so exciting for us!

I just finished reading The Winter people by Jennifer Mcmahon. Oh my gosh guys, it was such a great book! I highly recommend it, especially if you like suspenseful and eerie. Before that I read A Long Fatal Chase by Louisa May Alcott. I am a HUGE fan of Louisa and Little Women is one of my favorite books of all time so I had no doubt this book would be great. I have no idea why this book isn’t more popular! I loved it till the very end!

So ready for Spring!  Hope you all have a great week!
