Sorry it’s been so long since I have posted!! We packed up last week for our trip to California and it was a super busy 5 days! My nephew had a baseball tournament right when we rolled into town. So that was our first stop (after In-N-Out of course). It was so great to see him get to pitch; he is so much fun to watch!
On Monday my grandma gave Porter his first haircut! He looks so much like a little boy and not my little baby anymore 🙁 He did well at keeping still but after a few minutes he was over it. I seriously kept as much of his hair as I could! It was like gold to me trying to keep every last piece of his baby curls. A little dramatic? Probably!
I took John to some of my favorite boutiques in town along with a few new ones I hadn’t been to yet. We first went to my favorite, Plum Crazy! They have the best jewelry and accessories! My hometown is a cowboy town so they have great western and turquoise (my favorite) jewelry! Then we went to a newer one, Cook Red Bluff and they had the cutest cooking and baking stuff! John bought me an adorable handmade apron! Another one I hadn’t been to was The Closet on Main! They had beautiful clothes and jewelry! I don’t think there was one thing in there that I didn’t want! Really cute dresses, accessories, and a jean vest I was obsessing over badly!
Tuesday was my birthday and my sister and I went to lunch together and frozen yogurt (I had Starbucks and frozen yogurt non-stop when I was there), then had a big family dinner that night! It was a great visit. Just being able so see all my family and the simple moments of picking my nephews and niece up from school are the parts that I cherish the most. I wish it could happen more often but I’m thankful for the times that I can.
