FLARE JEANS ARE BACK

It’s been nothing but skinny jeans for years now, but I’m happy to report that flare jeans are back in style! For me, I think flares only work for the fall season since once winter hits, it’s all about trying to keep the bottom of your jeans off of the ground. I know it can be hard trying to figure out how to make a new trend work for you. Especially one that has been out of style for awhile, but there is nothing easier than pairing flare jeans with a fall sweater and trendy pumps. I think it’s hard for people to picture flare jeans without thinking of an episode from That 70’s Show, lol (Such a great show!)

My blogger friend Jacqueline, of the fabulous blog Brunchinista, and I have been meeting for brunch at least once a month and today we tried Membrillo Latin Kitchen in Eugene and it was so so good! It you are in Eugene, check it out! I got the hazelnut pancakes, ohhh so good!

Porter started Pre-School and he hates it as much as I thought he would! He’s been going for almost a month and today was the first day he didn’t cry! We are making progress! When I picked him up today, he said, “I had a good day!” 🙂

Hope everyone is getting used to this Fall weather!  Let the pumpkins, costumes, candy, good food, and scarf season begin!

FAUX SUEDE SKIRT

I’ve wanted a faux suede skirt for a while now,

(its all over the place this season) I was just having a hard time choosing one that I liked and that was affordable! Well, you all know Old Navy never lets me down! There were a few that I loved online, but when I saw this faux suede skirt for the price I just couldn’t say no! I swear it never fails, I go into Old Navy just to “look” and always find something I want! You guys know I’m all about basic pieces that I can re-wear and style a ton of different ways and this skirt is one of them! I can wear so many different styles of boots, tops, hats, scarves, etc., I love it! It’s even better that I can wear this skirt in the spring, being able to wear an item in multiple seasons makes me happy!

I love love love my new OTK (over the knee) boots! I read a lot of reviews to make sure I was choosing a good product. Most are so so expensive (Stuart Weitman, I’m talking to you) I wanted an affordable pair of OTK Boots that didn’t lack quality. Well, I made a good decision! I haven’t tried them over jeans or leggings, but when I do I will let you know!

Let me know some of your favorite OTK boots this season!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! It has been so freezing here! We are getting a ton of rain lately, true PNW style! Remember when I said I painted all of the upstairs landing area?? Well, John had to paint the part close to the ceiling and above the stairs because I am super scared of heights, but when I went to buy more paint I bought a different finish!! The first can was flat and the second was satin! So, now I have to paint over everything with the satin 🙁 The satin is a better quality of finish so at least it will be easier to clean! Don’t know why I ever bought flat to begin with! Sunday we took a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond to get a cabinet for our bathroom and it’s perfect! Our bathroom is finally done, thank goodness!

I love all of my fall wardrobe colors but pastels and neutrals are just so refreshing for fall!

I wanted to give everyone a different idea of what you can pair with a faux fur vest! This vest is so great for how affordable it is! This would be a great look, if you are a neutral lover (like me) to wear to a holiday party or family gathering. That whole “no white after Labor Day” rule is a bunch of nonsense! I am a wearer of white all year round! Also, these heals are a great dupe for the Valentino rock stud pumps!

Hope you all have a great day!

Shabby Apple Dress

I have been so, so, sore from CrossFit this week! Curling my hair this morning felt like a workout in itself! I kept trying to find new ways to be able to rest my arms, while still trying to keep my hair wrapped around the barrel, while trying not to burn myself! I was a mess! My brother, Porter and I went to Costco, we’re obsessed with Costco! I love everything about it except for how easy it is to spend way to much money there! I also had to go get a new brush head for my Clarisonic and oh man, I wish I never would have stepped foot in Sephora! They have all the gift sets out for Christmas!!! It’s a good thing I was on a time crunch because I could have done some major damage in there!

This Shabby Apple Proffesor Hill Dress was so perfect for running our errands today!

I was in pure comfort! I seriously felt like I was in Pajamas! We were in a huge hurry because my brother had to be to work so we were only gone a couple of hours, but I could have gone all day in this outfit! I had no want or need to take it off! They have almost identical dresses as this one and they come in burgundy, gray, navy, and an orange/red color. After wearing this one I need all the colors! John says need is a strong word, I say, no way! Shabby Apple’s clothes are such great quality and they have an awesome range of different styles! Everyone can find something they love! I will be hosting a GIVEAWAY with Shabby Apple soon, so be on the look out!  Check them out if you haven’t already!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far!
