Faux leather is a trend I’ll always love. I’ve been wanting a skirt for the fall/winter season to wear for a holiday look! Along with everything else, Shabby Apple has the best skirts! Every skirt I have from them is perfection and this Black Coal Skirt is no different!

Cold weather is the perfect time to layer different fabrics and textures! I love pairing a chic skirt with any type of sweater, chunky or light, (not intended to make them sound like types of canned tuna), this one is a cashmere blend, it’s so soft and the color is perfect for the holidays. I’ve also been seeing a ton of dressy looks paired with beanies and I love it!

It’s been so cold here! We’ve had a ton of freezing rain, but no actual snow! 🙁 If it’s going to be this cold and wet I want it to be worth it! Is everyone ready for Christmas?? I’m not at all! We’re all done with Porter, but I’m not done shopping for anyone else!

In honor of the holiday season Shabby Apple is giving away a $50 credit to one lucky winner! All you have to do is like the featured photo on Instagram and tag a friend in the comment section! Giveaway will be closed Friday, December 16th 6pm Pacific Time. Winner will be announced Saturday, December 17th.

They have an amazing 30% off too if you use the code Christmas2016 at checkout!

How adorable is this Shabby Apple gingham skirt?! Gingham is one of my favorite prints pretty much year round. I knew when I saw this beauty it would be the perfect spring skirt! Pairing a high waist with a crop top has been a big trend for awhile now, and this skirt makes it easy to accomplish that look! Shabby Apple’s quality of clothes always amazing me. I knew it would fit me perfectly showing off the smallest part of my waist. If you are reluctant (I know I was) to try the high waist/crop top look, a skirt like this is a great first shot. The flowy design of the skirt hides everything below the waist as opposed to trying it with shorts or pants which can be a hit or miss.

We took Porter to a big park in Eugene and had so much fun! He’s obsessed with the swing set (like his mommy was) and loves running! He’s been going to a friends house once a week to play for a few hours with other kids. We’ve really been trying to socialize him more with other kids his age anywhere we can since we don’t know too many people with younger children his age.

My birthday is today and I get FOUR kid free hours to go shopping!!! Anyone with kids knows exactly how excited I am!

Let me know if you have any questions about pairing crop tops with high waist anything or if you have any questions about Shabby Apple’s sizing!  I would love to help!
