You’ve probably seen Violet Ray’s fashionable bags at DSW, Francesca’s, at Target, or maybe even Instagram. When I first started blogging some of my favorite bloggers had Violet Ray bags and I always loved how on point and trendy they were! My first thought when seeing their bags is that, they look expensive!!! Myself and my wallet were very relieved to discover that they aren’t! Aside from being affordable and gorgeous, Violet Ray does not disappoint with the quality and construction of their bags! From the material to hardware the quality is so good!

I chose the Skylar Tote in the color charcoal because I loved the faux suede and the detailing of the stitching! I’m a sucker for details and their bags always have stylish and unique details you just can’t find anywhere else!

Some of our friends from our CrossFit gym competed in the Everyday Warrior competition in Salem last weekend! It was so much fun to watch! They did amazing and supported a great cause as well! I was worried about bringing Porter (I envisioned tantrums and lots of whining), but he did great and had so much fun!

This weekend John and I are going to the coast for birthday! I’m so excited for a day away with him! The possibility of maybe getting to sleep in feels like Christmas in January!

Hope everyone is doing great in this new year!

blog-10

Friday I celebrated my one year blogaversary! I can NOT believe it’s been a year already! Honestly, I wanted to start a blog because I wanted to make friends and connect with people. I wanted to be a part of something that I could be inspired by and inspire others along the way. The blogging community is a place I’m so happy to be a part of. I love encouraging and lifting my fellow bloggers up and I’m so happy that I received that in return! Looking back at this last year I’m grateful for all the people I have connected with and couldn’t be happier with my progress! I told everyone when I started that I didn’t care if I only had ten followers, I would be so thankful for those ten people. I started this for me and it has allowed me to put more of myself out there than I ever imagined.  It has lifted me up and made me feel so much better about all aspects of my life! I am so thankful for you all!

This Romwe dress is seriously so gorgeous!!! The lace detail is just beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with it! I did order a medium so it would be a little longer and it fits great so if you are torn between sizing I would recommend sizing up! I love the sleeves, they get a little wider at the wrists giving a bell sleeve look! The best part… this dress is $15!!! I know, insane! It is perfect for any festivities this spring season, especially for any brides having showers this year!

Thank you all again for all the love and support!  It means the world to me!  Here is to year number 2!  Can’t wait to see what it has in store for Looks Like Rein!

Okay, is it royal blue or cobalt blue? Does it matter? I always say cobalt blue, but royal blue sounds so much fancier! It also reminds me of Liar Liar when Jim Carrey can’t lie about the color of the pen he is using and he’s trying to say it’s red but screams out, “ROYAL BLUE!!!” In case you’re wondering I have a movie reference for everything and a knack for getting off track! I’ve been looking for a royal blue sweater to pair with my gray pants for the last month! My husband loves these gray pants on me, and I wanted to wear something besides black or white (my go to colors) with them.

I love these cobalt blue (making sure you’re awake) heels! I found them brand new at a yard sale last year for $3!! Which reminds me, I can’t wait for yard sale season!!! Moving on… I’ve been waiting for the perfect top to match them! I love this color combo because I can wear it year round! I don’t wear it and think, ehh, this is too fall-ish, or winter-ish, etc.

My mom left Sunday after visiting for a couple of weeks and I miss her so much! I finally took her to sushi that she didn’t hate (huge accomplishment) and showed her all of our hang out spots! I might slightly miss all the babysitting as well!

Is everyone all caught up on The Bachelor?? Ben is my favorite bachelor yet! He has some really great women to choose from. If you would have asked me last week my vote would have been for Lauren, but now I’m kinda leaning more for JoJo!

We have had quite a few sunny days lately and I LOVE it!! I don’t care if it’s freezing outside as long as I can see the sun I’m happy! I really do love this red jacket from Romwe! For the price it’s great quality, comes in lots of colors, and kept me warm. One of my favorite details are the two patches!

I have heard some people say they had trouble with delayed shipment, I did not experience this problem, but it could be because I’m doing a collaboration with them. My suggestions when purchasing from a site you are unsure of is- always check the measurements and fit guide, check reviews, and fabric material. I know it isn’t rocket science, but for me it usually does make a difference! I keep a measuring tape in purse so I can always check the size charts for everything I purchase. Pictures can be deceiving!

I always want to give my honest opinion about an item or company! With that being said, I should have ordered a medium! I’m wearing a small and my only complaint is the arms a little short. Is it going to keep me from wearing it? No. I feel like I have pretty long arms so if you have shorter arms it shouldn’t be and issue. I just still recommend measuring before purchasing.

Does everyone have Super Bowl plans?? We are going to John’s sisters house in Salem! Does anyone else get just as excited about the food and commercials as I do?

Stay warm out there!!
